When he started working for Pelegrini’s in the early sixties, long before Melbourne had its first pizza restaurant, Carlo Ursini was cooking pizza for Melbourne. Back then, the pizza was made on large trays and cut into square portions.
Carlo left Pelegrini’s to open his own restaurant – Pizza Napoli – in late 1962. Today, under Carlo’s watchful eye, Pizza Napoli still serves traditional and gourmet pizza. The pizza bases are made in the age old Naples way. The toppings are made from market fresh ingredients all hand chosen by Carlo himself.
As well as pizza, Pizza Napoli serves a wide selection of authentic Italian dishes – hand made gnocchi, risotto, pasta, veal and seafood. Pizza Napoli is fully licenced with a selection of quality Italian wine and aperitifs. It is a restaurant perfect for business, families or special occasions.
And in the Italian way, children are most welcome.
